In accordance with the current legislation, the following candidates were nominated through a secret ballot by the deputies: Rustam Emomali – Mayor of Dushanbe, nominated by the Assemblies of People’s Deputies of Dushanbe and its districts; Karimzoda Munira Bobokhon – Chief Physician of the State Institution “City Clinical Hospital of Infectious Diseases in Children,” from Firdavsi district; Muhiddin Nuriddin Davlatali – Rector of the State Educational Institution “Abu Ali ibn Sina Tajik State Medical University,” from Ismoili Somoni district; Davlatzoda Kudrat Kambar – Rector of the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M.S. Osimi, from Shohmansur district; Khushvakhtzoda Qobiljon Khushvakht – President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, from Sino district.
