THE SMALL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF TAJIKISTAN
The Junior Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan (JAST) was established on December 4, 1971, on the basis of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan. The solemn ceremony dedicated to the establishment of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan under the leadership of the former president of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Academician M.S. Osimi, was attended by prominent scientists from various departments of the Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan. By the decision of the Presidium of the NAST, Academician Yu.S. Nosirov was elected the first president of JAST and led it until 1979. Then, from 1979 to 1981, Academician H.Kh. Karimov was elected president of JAST. From 1981 to 2016, Academician D.N. Podshojonov was president of JAST, and from 2016 to 2019, A.M. Buriev was appointed to this position. From January 2021 to February 2025, Academician Kh.Kh. Khisoriev was appointed as the head.
Currently, since May 2025, Doctor of Economics, M.I. Sadriddinov has been appointed as the head of the Small Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.

Sadriddinov Manuchehr Islomiddinovich - Head of the Department with schoolchildren of the Small Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan under the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan. Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor.
Since 2008, he has been working in the system of higher education and science. The main areas of scientific activity include theoretical and methodological aspects of economic integration for various natural resource potentials, in particular, water resources.
Sadriddinov Manuchehr Islomiddinovich was born on September 20, 1985 in the village of Kadi , Ragun city. He graduated from secondary school No. 93 in Dushanbe (1992-2003). From 2003 to 2008, he studied at the Tajik National University to faculty of Economics and Management, and also graduated with honors in 2008. From 2008 to 2011, he worked as an assistant at the Department of National Economy at the Tajik National University. From 2015 to 2017. He worked as a senior lecturer in the Department of National Economy of the Tajik National University. Since 2017, he worked as the head of the Department of Finance and Taxation of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Service. From July 2021 to October 2023, he was the director of the Branch of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan in the Sughd region. From October 2023 to August 2024, he held the position of head of the international relations department of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan. From December 6, 2024 until to 15.04.2025 he was the head of the Department of Economic Theory.
From 2011 to 2015, he was a full-time graduate student in the Department of Economic Management of the Novosibirsk State University of Russian Federation. In 2015, he passed his PhD on topic "Assessment of the role of water resources in the formation of the economic space of Tajikistan" and he received the degree of candidate of economic sciences. His scientific activity is focused on the issues of rational use of water resources from an economic point of view and the development of the input-output table for the economy of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as on issues of economic integration of the countries of the Central Asian region related to the use of economic resources. For the first time in Tajikistan, he developed and compiled the input-output table for 2010. On May 6, 2023, at the Dissertation Council of the Tajik National University, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Integration processes for the efficient use of water resources in the countries of the Central Asian region: methodology, analysis and forecasting methods".
Sadriddinov Manuchehr is the author of more than 74 scientific papers and articles, including 3 monographs. In 2017, a monograph written by him in one of the most prestigious institutes of the Russian Federation - the Institute of Economics and Industrial Engineering was published. Also in 2018, the textbook "Financial Mathematics" he published for students of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Service (now MUTPT). Together with her scientific supervisor (consultant) Usmanova T.D., a scientific monograph "Integration processes for the efficient use of water resources in the countries of the Central Asian region" was published.
