Today, April 8, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Khushvakhtzoda Qobiljon Khushvakht visited the Center for Innovations in Biology and Medicine and at the same time got acquainted with the working conditions of the scientists and staff of the center.

During оf the visit, the president of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, visited the laboratory of medical biology of the medicinal plant study group and got acquainted with the results of the research work of scientists and researchers.

Also, the president of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, emphasized that with the support of the Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, we strive to consistently strengthen the material and technical base of scientific institutions and create good conditions for the work of scientists in various fields.

It should be noted that the main goal of the Center is to study the adaptive features of medicinal plants and agricultural crops in various environmental conditions; study the phytochemical composition of plants; development of biologically active substances (BAS) and additives (AA); study of introduced ornamental and medicinal plants and other household areas, as well as training of highly qualified scientific personnel in these areas.

Today, April 8, the president of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Khushvakhtzoda Qobiljon Khushvakht, visited the herbarium resources of the Institute of Botany, Phisiology and Plant Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.

During the visit, it was reported that the herbarium of the Institute of Botany, Physiology and Genetics of Plants of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan was established in 1941 and is the only specialized natural botanical resource in Tajikistan. The Institute's herbarium fund is considered the richest collection of plants in Central Asia.

It should be noted that more than 200,000 dried herbarium specimens of plants are preserved here, including 28,000 herbaceous plants, 15,000 flowering plants, and more than 15,000 aquatic plants growing in the Pamir-Оlоi Mountain regions (Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan). Herbarium sheets have been collected by various scientists since 1876 to the present.

It was emphasized that the herbarium's collection is unique not only in terms of its richness and history of collecting plant specimens, where the first plants were collected 135 years ago by prominent Russian scientists, but also in terms of the diverse composition of endemic, rare, and exotic species included in it. Currently, the herbarium's collection contains herbarium specimens of interesting plants - remnants of the ancient flora of Central Asia, that is, remnants of the third flora of the region.

Today, the Chairman of the Majlisi milli of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Chairman of the city of Dushanbe, honorable Rustam Emomali, participated and delivered a speech at the official opening ceremony of the Dushanbe IT Park building, held within the framework of the “ICT WEEK-2025” exhibition.

As a result: Candidate Rustam Emomali, The Chairman of Dushanbe, received 100% of the elector votes; Karimzoda Munira Bobokhon, Chief Physician of the State Institution “City Clinical Hospital of Infectious Diseases in Children,” received 98% of the votes; Muhiddin Nuriddin Davlatali, Rector of the State Educational Institution “Abu Ali ibn Sina Tajik State Medical University,” received 98% of the votes; Davlatzoda Kudrat Kambar, Rector of the Tajik Technical University named after Academician M.S. Osimi, received 97% of the votes; Khushvakhtzoda Qobiljon Khushvakht, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, received 99% of the elector votes.
